Empowering the Digital Generation

Growing access to technology has created an opportunity to provide services to hundreds of millions of developing country citizens who have lacked it. Yet realizing this potential requires increasing the ability of these people to constructively use this technology, and increasingly, to create it. A variety of initiatives around the globe are focused on digital literacy and “digital fluency”, though obstacles remain in building an environment where the beneficiaries of innovation are also its creators.
