Heather McDonald-Walker is a management consultant specializing in new market penetration through the creation and execution of channel marketing programs specifically designed for developing-country markets. Previously, she was the Worldwide Channel Marketing Manager in HP’s Emerging Market Solutions team, created to develop and commercialize profitable information technology solutions for developing countries. She also managed strategic internal business partnerships for this organization.

Prior to HP, Ms. McDonald-Walker worked at Nike, developing and introducing products for customers in emerging markets and monitoring labor issues with Nike’s global contract manufacturing partners. Earlier, in a collaborative effort with the World Resources Institute, Ms. McDonald-Walker conducted extensive market research and co-authored a comprehensive marketing plan for a diversified agricultural company in Argentina.

Ms. McDonald-Walker has also worked in the non-profit sector and traveled extensively in the developing world. She has worked in Mexico, Nicaragua and Argentina, and led projects in Africa and the Himalayas. She earned her MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. Her major coursework and practicum experience was in Sustainable Enterprise.
