Hubert Selvanathan is a Software Industry Expert Analyst and Senior Consultant with Vital Wave Consulting. He brings more than 12 years of experience in the software industry spanning enterprise software, enterprise IT consulting and software as a service products (SaaS). Selvanathan previously spent seven years at a technology consulting firm as an Engagement Manager, Solutions Architect and Software Engineer focused on IT strategy and implementation services for Fortune 500 firms. Selvanathan also drove new venture creation, business planning and product management over a five-year period for a SaaS startup firm. In these roles, Selvanathan developed strategies and implemented business software for large corporations, managed software products for start-up companies, and helped clients adopt and evolve business processes using their software assets. Over the course of his career, Selvanathan has also advised start-up and mid-size software companies on go-to-market strategies, new service offerings and competitive positioning. He is well-versed with business software such as information management systems, data warehouse and business intelligence systems, dashboards, and sales force automation technologies.

Selvanathan recently acted as a Lead Analyst on team that created a go-to-market strategy for a multi-national software firm. Previously, Selvanathan evaluated the landscape of eHealth and Electronic Medical Records across developing countries in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America, performing in-country site visits for system evaluation and assessment.

Selvanathan has more than 22 years of experience living and working in India and Africa. His Master’s degree in Computer Science was awarded from the University of Massachusetts. He has an undergraduate degree in Electronics & Telecommunications from the University of Pondicherry in India.
