Analyst and Project Architect Julie Pohlig brings
emerging markets
research expertise to
Vital Wave Consulting.
As a project architect, Ms. Pohlig provides analytical
guidance to support the development and execution of
client projects and syndicated reports. She also
regularly contributes as a lead analyst on projects
including market analysis, sizing and segmentation,
business systems analysis, primary research and business
case development.
Previously,
Ms. Pohlig
worked as a business
intelligence consultant
for Hewlett-Packard’s
Emerging Markets
Solutions Organization
where she conducted
research to support the
expansion of new
technology solutions
into emerging markets.
In this role, she
analyzed customer,
industry and
socio-economic trends in
emerging markets;
executed competitive
analyses and price
benchmarking; conducted
market sizing and
segmentation, economic
buyer profiles and needs
assessments; reviewed
regional and
country-level political
and economic
environments; and
provided business case
support for the launch
of new network-based
solutions.
Before joining HP,
Ms. Pohlig worked as a
marketing manager for
Luminant Worldwide, an
Internet and IT
consulting firm, and
also spent five years in
account management with
top advertising
agencies, managing the
development and
execution of campaigns
for clients such as
Cisco Systems, Kraft
General Foods, and Taco
Bell. With a focus on
international
development, she has
also conducted field
research and worked on
development projects in
rural communities in El
Salvador, Belize and
Baja, Mexico.
Ms.
Pohlig holds a Master’s
degree in Pacific
International Affairs
from the University of
California, San Diego
and undergraduate
degrees in Journalism
and East Asian Studies
from the University of
Missouri. She is based
in Costa Rica and has
lived and worked in
Japan and throughout
Central America.
