Yevgeniy Shishkanov brings to Vital Wave Consulting expertise in both the CIS and Greater China regions as well as in market research and analysis for the technology sector. As a senior consultant, Mr. Shishkanov conducts research and analyses to support custom consulting and market research projects. Recent projects include competitive analysis and segmentation of the telecommunications industry and research analysis on low-cost computing devices.

Prior to Vital Wave Consulting, Mr. Shishkanov was a market research analyst at GE Healthcare Technologies. In this capacity he assessed the market for Maternal Infant (MI) products in developing countries, particularly in India and China, prepared analyses on regional and global competitors, and identified the non-profit structure of major development aid providers. At GE Healthcare Technologies, Mr. Shishkanov gained hands-on experience with the management, production and sales of MI products. His assessments and analyses contributed to the company's go-to-market strategies in India and China. Mr. Shishkanov also worked at Telecom/Telematique Inc., a consulting firm focused on international telecommunications policy and regulation where he handled project implementations and data analyses.

Mr. Shishkanov holds a Professional Graduate Diploma from the International Career Associate Program at the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at the University of California, San Diego where he later became a Visiting Research Fellow in International Affairs. His undergraduate degree in History of Oriental Countries was awarded with honors from Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies in Uzbekistan. Originally from Uzbekistan, Mr. Shishkanov is fluent in English and Russian, as well as business proficient in Mandarin Chinese and Uzbek. Earlier in his career, he studied Chinese language at National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei.
